Description Polyvine Wood Oil is a unique, clear, UV resistant, microporous oil protection for exterior and interior wood that is ultra-low in VOCs. This wood oil is made with natural ingredients blended with polymer to give unsurpassed durability. The blend of resins and oils gives a silky sheen finish and highlights the natural grain of the wood. It has no added solvents and is suitable for exterior and interior softwood or hardwood timber, giving deep penetration for waterproofing and preservation. How to use Polyvine Wood Oil New timber should be clean, non-oily and thoroughly dry. Remove all old coatings to bare wood. If the timber is not pressure treated apply an appropriate wood preservative. Stir thoroughly before use. For best results use a clean, lint free cloth. Apply a thin even coat in the direction of the grain, work the oil into the grain of the wood ensuring complete saturation of the timber. When dry (minimum 12 hours), apply a second coat. Please note Do not apply below 5° C. Always apply to a test area before starting work. Do not apply when rain is imminent. Timbers containing high natural oils, e.g. Teak and Iroko may inhibit drying and cause impaired adhesion. Wiping the surface with methylated spirit will assist penetration. storage: Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application. clean up: Clean brushes and spillages with white spirit. STORAGE: Store in unopened containers in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Coverage: 16-20 sq. m per litre, depending on the porosity of the substrate. Drying time: 12 hours, recoat time 12 hours. Low temperature /high humidity can increase drying time. Cloths contaminated with product may self ignite without warning. Dispose of safely. Lay out flat in single layers to dry out or wash in soapy water. Health and Safety Non-hazardous. Ensure good ventilation. Keep out of reach of children. Contact with eyes-wash immediately with warm water. Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water. Do not empty containers into drains or watercourses.
