Avoid removing the entire wrap to keep the compound fresh.Apply to the wheelUse a loose muslin or sewn mop to maintain resiliency on compound-headed wheels. For harder polishing wheels, use the “start and stop” method: hold the bar against the revolving mop and turn off the power while applying pressure. This lets the compound coat the wheel evenly.Set the coatingSwitch the polishing spindle on and off to allow the buff to rotate at a reduced speed until the coating is no longer sticky. Drying usually takes about two minutes. Repeat if a heavier coat is needed.Light coating optionFor a light finish, apply the compound by frictional transfer in the usual way.
