Signed and inscribed by the author on the half-title page: “For Diane | with best wishes – | Margaret Atwood” Provenance: signed and inscribed around the time of publication at San Jose State University. The original leaflet is loosely inserted. Condition: a fine and unread book with no previous owner’s scribbles, and no foxing. The dust jacket is NOT price clipped. A beautiful copy. Shortlisted for the (Man) Booker Prize; winner of the Arthur C. Clarke Award. Adapted as a movie in 1990, and once more as a TV-series starring Elisabeth Moss which won multiple Emmy Awards. An iconic book and the Handmaid’s robe is used in the global women’s rights movement.
