Description Rustins Quick Dry Black Gloss is an acrylic emulsion based, quick drying Black Gloss Paint. The finish produced is tough, durable and resistant to oil and water. It is used as a decorative coating for application over Rustins Quick Drying Primer Undercoat or over existing paints and varnishes on wood and metal. It can be used for interior or exterior use. It is quick drying and low odour. It conforms to the Toy Safety Regulations BS EN 71 Part 3 How to use Rustins Quick Dry Black Gloss The surface must be clean, smooth, sound, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. If the wood or metal surface is bare, apply the appropriate primer and undercoat before painting. On metal use Rustins Red Oxide Metal Primer. On wood use Rustins Quick Drying Primer & Undercoat. Prior to painting, existing coated surfaces should be cleaned with Rustins Surface Cleaner or Rustins Sugar Soap and sanded lightly to provide a key, prior to painting. Cracks may be filled with a Wood filler. Undercoat may be applied if required. Stir well before use Apply Rustins Quick Dry Black Gloss in light, even coats using a good quality brush for water-based coatings. One coat is usually sufficient but a second coat may be applied if required. It is better to apply two light coats rather than one heavy coat. It will be touch dry within 30 minutes, depending on the temperature and humidity and Recoating Time is 3-4 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity. Please note The ideal application Temperature is 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity or if rain is imminent. Coverage is 12-15 sq.metres per litre depending on the absorbency of the surface. For maintenance the surface may be cleaned with a mild detergent solution or White Spirit as necessary. Worn areas may be re-coated once cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key. It is compatible over most types of undercoat. Can be applied over top coats once thoroughly cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key. Can be stored in the original, tightly closed container in cool dry conditions. To clean after use, Remove excess product from brushes before cleaning. Clean brushes whilst wet with water. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer. Health and Safety Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser.
